Princess Ann Braid

1. Start with a clean straight part down the middle of the head, just as if you were going to make pigtails.

You are going to make French Braids out of both of these sections, starting at the top and working your way down to the neck. When you are done with the first braid, fasten it.
Princess Anne braid step 1
2. Once you get to the bottom and both French pigtails are finished, unfasten the first braid and hold the right tail in the right hand and the left tail in the left hand. Your palms should be facing up. Make sure to keep all 6 strands separated between your fingers.
Princess Anne braid step 2
3. You want to have both braids ending with the right strand crossing over middle. Now turn your right hand over so that your palm is facing down and combine these 3 strands with the 3 strands in your left hand, (such as... left strand with right, middle strand with middle, right strand with left)
Princess Anne braid step 3
4. Pull these strands tight and finish with a Basic Braid. Then fasten with elastic.

French Rope Braid

1. To start, take a section from the top of the head as if you were going to make a French Braid. Separate this section into three strands of hair. Bring the right strand over the middle and then the left strand over the middle.
French Rope Braid Step 1
2. Hold all 3 strands in your left hand. (Make sure you keep them separate) Gather a small even section from the right side and add it to the right strand.
French Rope Braid Step 2
3. Now you are going to start to wind this strand to the right.
French Rope Braid Step 3
4. Next, change all of the strands over to the right hand while being careful not to mix strands or unravel the twist.French Rope Braid Step 4
5. Now gather another section from the left side and add it to the left strand.
French Rope Braid Step 5
6. Wind the strand to the right. This is when you may need an extra set of hands.
French Rope Braid Step 6
7. With your left hand bring the wound right strand over to the left. Now, the right twist is now left. The left twist is in the middle and the other strand is on the right ready to have hair added to it.
French Rope Braid Step 7
8. You are going to repeat steps 2 thru 4 until all of the hair is caught in this braid.

Finish off with a Rope Braid and fasten with an elastic.

Fishtail Braid

1. Once you have separated the ponytail, you are going to start out by holding the 2 strands in your left hand.
Fishtail Braid step 1
2. Now you are going to take a thin piece from the outside of the right strand and join it with the left strand.
Fishtail Braid step 2
3. Reverse how you are holding hair and switch hands.
Fishtail Braid step 3
4. With your left hand take a thin piece from the outside of the left strand and join it with the right strand.
Fishtail Braid step 4
5. You are going to repeat steps 2 and 3 until the braid is as long as you desire. Then finish with an elastic.

Basic Braid

1. Separate the ponytail into 3 equal strands. Hold 2 strands in your right hand with your palm facing up. Hold the third strand in your left hand.

2. Turn your right hand over so your palm is now facing down. This makes the right strand now in the middle and the middle strand on the right.
Basic braid step 2
3. Switch hands and hold right strand in the right hand and the middle strand and left strands in the left hand with palm facing up. Turn your left hand until your palm is facing down.

7. You will now bring the left strand over to the middle and bring the middle section to the left. As you follow these steps, try to keep your hands close to the head so the braid will be tight.

8. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until there is no hair available to add. Finish style with a Basic Braid and fasten with an elastic.

What NOT To Do With Curly Hair. #5

Do NOT wash your hair with hot water. It'll make it frizzy. Try using cool or cold water. It helps tame the frizz and add shine.

Curly Hair Tip #4

I didn't know whether to this as a TO or as a NOT.

Be careful with bobby pins, they snag. When you hair snags it causes split ends, then you have to cut the split ends. My point is bobby pins can be helpful and irritatingly a pest. Oh, by the way there are some bobby pin that say they're snag-less.

What TO Do With Curly Hair. #3

Always carry more than ONE hair tye. The one your wear may break, always have back ups.

What NOT To Do With Curly Hair. #2

Do NOT shampoo your hair. Your stripping your hair of its natural oils and you need same much as you can get.

Sham-POO, is bad. Conditioner, is good.

What NOT To Do With Curly Hair. #1

Do NOT comb your hair while it's dry...unless you like the damaged hair look.

Golden Gabby!

Gabrielle Douglas

 http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/gabby-is-golden/2012/08/02/gJQAt2wRSX_gallery.html#photo=6 and google

People have taken hating onto a whole new level, right? Why are people so focused on hair? Are you mad that she has won the gold? From what I've heard she's the first black female to win the gymnasts gold all-round, why are you so focus on her hair and not her achievements? Why can't you just be proud of her? She is a beautiful black young lady, hair does NOT make a person, who they are does and like I said she is beautiful black young lady. But, I didn't realize that we were watching a hair salon contest. I could have sworn the Olympics was about physical abilities, talent, and competition.

Whether Gabby's haters like it or not I'm giving my opinion about the situation. I feel like the way she had her hair was smart. I was out of the way, you had full focus on her gorgeous face. Her hair wasn't "unkempted". People will try to bring others down for their own amusement but they fail to realize they are only making the other person (Gabby) stronger. Your petty remarks make you look silly guys, grow up. Yay Gabby, congrats!

FAQ's About My Hair

1. Are you wearing a weave or wig?
   No.

2. Are you natural?
   Yes.

3. How long have you been natural?
   Two years and counting.

4.What made you go natural?
Perms/Relaxers have very strong chemicals that were taking out my hair and irritating my scalp.

5.Are you against people with perms/relaxers?
I find this question strange because I use to have a perm. But, no I've worn a perm and weave before.

6.What's your curl pattern?
   I have no clue.

7.What color is your hair?
Dark brown, chocolate brown, and sandy brown. Not black.

8.Have you ever dyed your hair?
Yes, it damaged my hair, had to dye it black because the color I used was too light for my hair.

9.What's your regimen?
I do braid outs, I use conditioner, I wash with cool water, I condition with alot of natural stuff like honey, etc., and at night I pull my hair up and cover it with a bonnet.

10.Why is your hair greasy?
It's not grease; I use home made gels, coco nut oil, and conditioners, NO grease.

11. If you've been natural for two years why is your hair short?
I have shrinkage...the illusion that your hair is shorter than it appears; If you pull the curls you'll see the real length which is 8 inches. *I'M NOT SAYING WALK AROUND PULLING CURLS. Please don't, I warn you.

12. Can I touch your hair?
No, when you were little your mother always said don't let people play in your hair. It was for a reason. I'm taking the time to grow my hair for me NOT for you to play in. Unless you can do natural hair!

When I saw these on Pinterest I could waiting to start my next DIY project. My favorite one is the California pillow. I'm not from California but I think it's good way to show you love your home town. California heart is pillow I would take on trip or something. I like the pillow with all the writing as well because you could your favorite poem, phrase, or song. The "Go To The Gym" is motivational, in my opinion. I love fitness.

I saw the most beautiful tumblr post that really made my morning and put a smile on my face. :)
It was a post on tumblr that had two pictures; one of a light skin chick and one of a brown skin chick, it said light skin don't make you cute , dark skin don't make you ugly. No, I don't have anything adjust little skin people, considering my heritage is like a rainbow. But the fact of the matter is the no skin color is more superior than the other and I'm happy alot of people share the same thoughts as I do. If your pale skinned, olive skinned, brown skinned, dark skinned, blue skinned, WHATEVER, your beautiful.

Sweater in the Summer

You probably have this cute bandeau top that you bought at the mall but your parents won't let you wear it because they think it looks like a bath suit blah, blah, blah. How about investing in a sweater. your probably thinking " A sweater...in the summer?!? ", yes a sweater. I know you have some from Christmas but not that type of sweater. This  summer sport a mesh sweater, with a cute bandeau, preferably a printed one, with bold colored pants. I know that Forever 21 is selling them, get them while they are still here!

Top Knotch

My new favorite hairstyle is a top knot. It's a simple and cute hairstyle. Alot of people have been asking me how do you do a top knot, so I'm assuming a lot more people don't no how.

What I do is, gather all my hair to make a high pony tail. Then, I twist my hair and tuck it underneath the elastic band. When I have loose hairs I just let them be free for a messy look.

Boho Chic @ The Beach

These looks will inspire your chic style, get inspired. Celeb pictures from http://www.seventeen.com/

Derek Shook / Splash News
This look is inspired by Vanessa Hudgens. My god sister and I were one day wining about " I wish I had your cup size! ". Why?! Because I envy the girl who can find into triangle bathing suit and she wants more to fill in a scrap less bandeau. lol!

My Boho Chic Rebel beach swimwear would be between a metallic gray or black; these are both chic and rebel. I would get an oversized graphic tee, preferably from a thrift store, and crop it.

This look is inspired by Sarah Hyland. I simply adore monokinis. They flatter the body without being overly sexy, making it more age appropriate for teens. If your one of those teens that have those parents who don't approve of two-pieces, this would be an excellent choice.

My Boho Chic Safari beach swimwear would be the swim suit and some sunglasses, that's it. Animal print stands out by itself.

This look is inspired by Audrina Patridge. I love love love bandeau tops. I am in love with this look because it's bold and bright, it's neon, and it's color block.

My Boho Chic Neon beach swimwear does look similar to this. Except my top is purple and I have pink boy shorts. If you enjoy being in the spot light, this mix matched bathing suit is guaranteed a couple of stares.

Boho Chic

Bandeau's don't have to be worn when going to the beach. This top looks great with a cropped race back tank and distressed jeans, sported with a button down knotted shirt and colored denim shorts, or maybe your feeling fierce enough to style it alone with maxi skirt. Whatever suits you.
Forever 21-Knotted Floral Bandeau $9.90  http://www.forever21.com/

Old Town
Bright and bold are " in " this season. This will go with ANYTHING. Pair it with a grapic tee, a floral print button down knotted shirt, or colored block it.
Hollister-Old Town $39.50 http://www.hollisterco.com/

Graphic tees are one of those thing that probably don't go out of style. This shirt is vintage and retro. This shirt would go perfect with colored denim shorts or acid wash distressed jeans. I personally would cut the swoop around the neck a little more so it'll hang off the shoulder and pair it with teal colored denim shorts.
