Boho Chic @ The Beach

These looks will inspire your chic style, get inspired. Celeb pictures from http://www.seventeen.com/

Derek Shook / Splash News
This look is inspired by Vanessa Hudgens. My god sister and I were one day wining about " I wish I had your cup size! ". Why?! Because I envy the girl who can find into triangle bathing suit and she wants more to fill in a scrap less bandeau. lol!

My Boho Chic Rebel beach swimwear would be between a metallic gray or black; these are both chic and rebel. I would get an oversized graphic tee, preferably from a thrift store, and crop it.

This look is inspired by Sarah Hyland. I simply adore monokinis. They flatter the body without being overly sexy, making it more age appropriate for teens. If your one of those teens that have those parents who don't approve of two-pieces, this would be an excellent choice.

My Boho Chic Safari beach swimwear would be the swim suit and some sunglasses, that's it. Animal print stands out by itself.

This look is inspired by Audrina Patridge. I love love love bandeau tops. I am in love with this look because it's bold and bright, it's neon, and it's color block.

My Boho Chic Neon beach swimwear does look similar to this. Except my top is purple and I have pink boy shorts. If you enjoy being in the spot light, this mix matched bathing suit is guaranteed a couple of stares.

Boho Chic

Bandeau's don't have to be worn when going to the beach. This top looks great with a cropped race back tank and distressed jeans, sported with a button down knotted shirt and colored denim shorts, or maybe your feeling fierce enough to style it alone with maxi skirt. Whatever suits you.
Forever 21-Knotted Floral Bandeau $9.90  http://www.forever21.com/

Old Town
Bright and bold are " in " this season. This will go with ANYTHING. Pair it with a grapic tee, a floral print button down knotted shirt, or colored block it.
Hollister-Old Town $39.50 http://www.hollisterco.com/

Graphic tees are one of those thing that probably don't go out of style. This shirt is vintage and retro. This shirt would go perfect with colored denim shorts or acid wash distressed jeans. I personally would cut the swoop around the neck a little more so it'll hang off the shoulder and pair it with teal colored denim shorts.

Hey love. It's HOT! ( Captain Obvious ), the sun is up, your going to head to the pool with your girl friends. Next thing you know your skin is redder than a steamed crab, OUCH ! I know that feeling; yes, I am a mixed African American, with dark brown skin that gets sun burnt ( look below for my skin color ). There are ALOT of people that didnt know that some black people get sun burns.

I had a friend sunbathe at home near her pool before she went on a spring break trip and she fell asleep, yep she was a steamed crab. I almost cried for her. Another one of my friends helped me with this post and gave me some tips to share with you, so SHOUTS OUT to ( insert name ), you know who you are. We did a mini interview, how fun?!

How do you prep for your tan?
I do everything a week before the tanning. My monthly nail appointment, my bikini wax, but I shave a day or two before going.

Tell me about your weekly prepping.
I exfoliate and mosizturizer until the day of, shave, wax, and get my mani/pedi.

What do you do the day of the tanning?
I make sure I do one more exfoliation but dont apply the mositurizer or any beauty products.

Which do you prefer a real tan or a spray tan?
I prefer spray tans because they're more safe but it stains clothes and doesnt last every long.

What type of tan do you go for?
I go for a sun kissed look, it's tint to my natural skin color.

What do you wear when you go spray tanning?
I wear flip flops, loose sweats, and a loose shirt.

How do you prevent fading?
I use tan extenders like Sundara's Watermelon Tan. Extender

What are some important tips you have?
Buy tan extender, dont shower for at least 8 hours, after showering moisturize, wear loose clothes you dont really care about, remeber sunscreen

Chart dois ( two ) show my skin type, my general color, my pigment, and how sunburnt my skin gets. If you would like to know yours copy and paste these two reference websites to your search boxes. Hey love. So, I have a thick friend. She isnt fat but she isnt skinny either. She's a pear shape; she isnt busty but her butt is a little blessed. Anyway, she wants to lose weight to look smoking hot in a bathing suit. ( If your a pear shape and you plan on losing weight... STOP! ) I can see if she wants to tone, I mean that's what I'm doing. First off, everyone is a different body shape; I believe I'm an apple shape, I gain most of my weight in my stomach first ( That's why I wont gain weight ). My friend is a pear shape; she gains weight in her butt and thighs first. My second thought is, does it really matter what you look like in a bathing suit, people better be happy you didnt show up naked. Plus, not everyone will look sexy or hot in a bikini, I dont and I'm slender. Dont worry about what others think or say, as long as you know your looking beautiful with your beach curls, fresh tan, and nails done ( You go girl, with your bad self!  ). Confidence is key. Love ya!

Spring Must Haves

  1.                                                            I have been looking for floral print pants everywhere and I finally found some. These are a Spring Must Have because floral print just SCREAMS spring. These pants are feminine at the same time chic. I am determined to have a pair of these hanging in my closet.
  2.                                                          These are on my Spring Must Have list because they're different, unique, and super cute. I'd love adding these to my shoes collection. The pattern is simple but very eye catching. Who does love vintage?
  3.                                                                                      This button up, self-tie shirt is girly and dope. I'm fascinated by the togetherness ( I think I made that up ) of my favorite things, denim and floral print. You wear this with different styles; maybe with a shirt like her or with some destressed jeans. Whichever outfit you pair it with it'll be A DOR ABLE.
  4.  Oh, looky at what's on my list again. FLORAL PRINT! Dr. Marten's have been on my "buy list" for a while but I wanted to make sure my were tomboyish but feminine. Annnd these are it!

Embrace your natural curls

Hi guys! Are you having a little trouble with your curly locks??? Is your hair dry? Frizz? Breakage? Well, I can help. How?!
  •  Try washing your hair in colder water; it moistizes hair and reduces frizz
  •  Shampoo dries hair out, conditioner is your friend
  •  Comb or brush your hair ONLY when it's wet
  •  Heat should ONLY be used to clip split or uneven ends
  •  DON'T use any chemicals
  •
I don't know about you guys, but I'm so ready for Spring Break. All I can think about is a sunny day, splish-splashing in water.

This swim suit is Daisy. She is padded and has underwire. She flatters just about any figure. The top is matched with a beautiful high waisted bottom. The bottoms have six  bottons with cute little red anchors. This nautical swim suit is very 70s.

This swim suit is Dixie. This is another swim suit I would just love having because it reminds me of home... yep I'm southern! As you can see Dixie is both vintage and southern. The cute top plaid red and white has an under band that'll support you. The bottom have a thick waist band and full coverage of your bottom.

These swim suits are super cute and not too revealing.

To make this look a little boho, why not add a braid to your hair.
